Dear Santa,

It's Christmas time!!! My favorite time of the year! I did a "Dear Santa" post last year and since I got everything that I asked for I thought it would be a good idea to make another one :-)

1.) Bath and Body Works Enchanted Splish Splash Gift Set $30.00
Be Enchanted™ Splish Splash Gift Set - Signature Collection - Bath & Body Works
One of my co-workers introduced me to this winter scent from Bath and Body Works and I love it!!! I have a small lotion for my purse but I would love to get this bath set!

2.) WEN by Chaz Dean Sweet Almond Mint and Pomegranate Duo $39.90

I have woken up to Chaz Dean Wen selling this shampoo...and he sold me! My latest obsession has been QVC which features WEN shampoo, and let me tell you those people on QVC sell the crap out of products, they make you feel like you NEED their products and when they say "limited quantity" you call and place an order! But I love the concept of not having to use other products such as a conditioner, and those before and after shots are amazing!

3.) MICHAEL Michael Kors Quilted Ballet Flat $98
Product Image
I am in dying need of a good pair of black flats...and yes I could just buy any at any store for less, but the current ones I own are my from Mr. Kors and they have seriously lasted me for such a long time, they are great quality and so comfortable

Or I also wouldn't mind them in this pretty gold color :)

4.)Eco Tools Limited Edition Beautiful Expressions Kabuki Set
Limited Edition Beautiful Expressions Kabuki Set
I own several Eco Tools brushes, and I have to say they are the best drugstore brushes, I own a small kabuki brush that came with a set, and it's honestly my favorite powder brush. When I saw that they came out with a set of kabuki brushes I about fainted! I want them so bad!

And I think for now...that is it :-)

I was nice and I hope Santa brings me what I ask for ;)

Happy Holidays

Make-Up Haul

I recently had a crazy makeup shopping frenzy. I keep buying makeup and I can't stop myself! I have not purchased this much makeup in a long time but I am very happy with everything that I have bought. Some of these things I needed badly and others I just wanted ;)

Philosophy Amazing Grace and Olay Complete Moisturizer

Philosophy Perfume Amazing Grace: I have had my eye and nose on this perfume for a while now, I will be honest, the name is what got my attention hence the name of this blog :-) But when I tested and smelled all the Grace perfumes this one was my favorite. I am horrible at describing scents but I love this one because its a subtle fresh scent and I love it.

Olay Complete all day UV Moisturizer SPF15 for combination/oily skin: I already have this moisturizer but I have it in the jar and its a pain to use that way, that is why I thought I would get this bottle instead. I have to say this moisturizer is a great one, leaves my face soft and doesn't make me oily. I was on the hunt earlier this month for a different one but I decided to stick with this one since it also has  never broke me out.

Maybelline Colorsensational lipstick and Burt's Bee Lip Balm

Maybelline Colorsensational lipstick in Coral Gleam 730: I love this color! I gave been wanting to try these lipsticks for awhile now and the color I actually wanted was not there so I took a risk and got this color. I got lucky because I just went off on the picture. But it is a gorgeous coral shimmery color, not to bright but it gives my makeup looks that perfect finishing touch.

Burt's Bees Nourishing Lip Balm with Mango Butter: I have always used Cherry Chapstick but one day I decided to give Burt's Bees a try and I fell in LOVE! This was an item I purchased because I needed it, my old lip-balm was out. It leaves my lips soft and smooth and it dose not make them dry later which other lip-balms do.

Tarte LipSurgence natural liptint

Left to Right: Perky, Glitzy, Flashy, Swank, and Dazzled

Tarte LipSurgence Natural Lip Tint: DEAL OF THE YEAR!!!! I could not believe the price of these liptints! For all FIVE liptints they cost $29.00!!!! Each one alone cost $24.00. You can do the math! They are great and so pigmented. My favorite now is Glitzy but I love them all! Definitely worth the money!

MAC Sheertone Shimmer Blush in Ambering Rose: I have not been to MAC in a really long time and I wanted to treat myself to some goodies. The girl that helped me at MAC was so nice and super helpful, she help me find all the colors including this blush. It is very bright so a light hand is necessary or you will look like a clown. Gorgeous peach color.

MAC eyeshadows in Phloof, Sumptuous Olive, Saddle, and Satin Taupe: I have been wanting to make myself a palette and when I went I told the girl what I was looking for as far as colors and she helped me. I wanted a dupe to Urban Decay's Virgin so she got me Phloof. I wanted a color outside of my comfort zone(no neutral) and she showed me Sumptuous Olive, I wanted a matte color for my crease and I got Saddle, and Satin Taupe has been on my wishlist for a long time.

I have to admit that I have purchased more products but I had already taken these pictures so expect a second haul :) Thanks for reading!

September Favorites

This month I discovered a lot of new makeup goodies. I slowly have been buying new makeup products, and now it seems like my makeup collection is so much more bigger. All the products of this month were literally either used everyday this month or every week.

Eyes:
ELF Eyelid Primer: I featured this in my Summer Favorites, I just love it because I feel like it works just as good as any other eye primer. And for one dollar...well you can't beat that :)

Covergirl Lash-blast Volume: I was hesitant about buying this mascara, but so many beauty gurus have said it was their holy grail mascara, so I finally got it. I have to say that I really do like it, but it is not my holy-grail mascara, but as far as a drugstore mascara goes, it is on my top 10 list. I love how my eyelashes look when I wear it, no clumping, and easy to remove.

Left to right: Virgin, Sin, Toasted

Urban Decay Naked Palette: I LOVE this palette and I am so happy that it is so readily available now. My favorite colors have to be Virgin, by far the best highlight color, Sin, great all over lid color, and Toasted, a unique color that I use as a crease and lid color. I have said this before, but I do not use any other eye shadows just this palette.

Face:
Revlon Photo Ready Foundation in the color 006 Medium Beige. I love my Bare Minerals foundation and I still use it everyday, but I wanted something with a little more coverage, and after a lot of research and reviews, I decided to buy it. Plus it was on sale at Walgreens :) I love it and I usually apply this using a stippling brush and it gives me a flawless look. I also put a thin layer of Bare Minerals over it for a full coverage look.

Sephora Perfecting Cover Concealer in 25 medium beige. I am always on the hunt for the best concealer that will erase all of my imperfections and I have found a good one this month. On a trip to Sephora with my friend we asked one of the girls to help us find the perfect undereye concealer. And she showed us this. I have to admit that as far as an undereye concealer goes its not my favorite, but for the rest of my face like blemishes or redness, its amazing.

Tarte: Dollface and Park Ave Princess

Cheeks:
Tarte Amazonian clay 12-hour blush in Dollface: This is a small travel size sample that I bought at Sephora when I was getting ready to check out. I have heard everyone rave about these blushes and I wasn't sure if it was worth $25 dollars. So I got the sample that came with this blush and a Tarte bronzer. The color looks a little too bright but I use it lightly on my cheeks and it gives me a nice pink color.
Tarte Mineral bronzer in Park Ave Princess: This was also part of the duo that I got at Sephora. And this bronzer was raved about by Miss Jen Fabulous. I love this bronzer I think more that NARS Laguna. Its just a nice color on my tan skin. Plus I love the combination of this bronzer with the Tarte blush.

Lips:
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 619 Rose & Shine: I got this lipstick for free when I participated in the Revlon Cancer Walk. I think its just a perfect neutral pink every day color. I wear this almost everyday.

Hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by

My Stack

I'm doing a quick little post about my bracelet combination for today. You can expect similar post like these in the future.
I'm wearing my rose gold Michael Kors watch, which I love and wear every day. I'm also wearing 2 bracelets that I bought a leather boutique near my home. The brown leather one is a wrap around with diamonds on it. And as for the black one, I've been looking for a style bracelet like this for months! So when I found this I was soooo happy. I actually got both because the owner gave me a deal.

This combination has become my everyday go-to look. I just love how it looks! And I feel like its perfect for fall :)

Fashion Icon:Jennifer Lopez

I have done two previous post about some of my fashion and beauty inspirations. I am very mad at myself for not having already done this post. Jennifer Lopez is by far my Fashion Icon. I was not at all surprised when she was named People magazines "Most beautiful" She is such a gorgeous person.

I have been a HUGE J.Lo fan ever since she got the role in "Selena". I was a big Selena fan so when I found out the Jennifer Lopez was picked to play Selena I, like many Selena fans, was a little hesitant to the idea. But she blew me away and I became a huge fan of Miss Jenny Lo. Not only is she an amazing actress, but she sings and has her own perfumes and clothing line.

When she came out with her clothing line JLO, no joke I ran to my nearest Macy's to buy her clothes. I owned a lot of her jeans, t-shirts with her JLO logo, and other clothing pieces from the brand. It was a very casual everyday type of clothing brand. I also bought JLO Glow her first perfume and Still. Still to this day is still one of my favorite scents but they seemed to have stopped making it :(

When her first clothing brand came out, I didn't run out to buy  it simply because it had her logo stamped on it, I wanted to wear her clothes because I loved her style. I still love her style. Jennifer, in my eyes, is a fashion icon. I love that she takes risks on the red carpet. Sometimes when she comes out, I think to myself, "Only she can pull that look out." She just has that confidence that pulls an outfit or gown together.

But there are the times where she appears on a red carpet and Jenny looks breath-taking. Here are some of my all time favorite red carpet looks from Ms. Lopez
Jennifer Lopez at the Grammy's, I mean look at those shoes! To die for

one of my all time favorite Jlo red carpet looks from the Oscars.
I have never really been a big American Idol fan but of course I watched this past year because she was one of the judges LOL, Every week I honestly watched to see what she was wearing, how her hair was going to be styled, and what makeup look she would be using. And every week I was never disappointed. She is just flawless.

Everyone always talks about Jennifer's famous "J.Lo glow" that we all try to have ourselves. She even made a perfume with that name. But Jennifer does always have a glow to her. Her hair and makeup are always on point too. She seems to always accentuate her eyes. She does a lot of looks with nice dramatic eyes with long lashes and nude glossy lips. I also love that she doesn't seem to wear tons and tons of makeup. And her hair...I wish I had it lol just kidding. Right now especially she is doing the "ombre" sort of look and it looks amazing on her. I think I like her with lighter hair, its sort of a light golden brown color.

"Jenny from the Block" was a single she did where she talked about her still being the same girl from the Bronx. Although, I know she is not the same girl, she is also a girl that when not on the red carpet she like comfort yet stylish clothes

I am also very excited for her clothing brand that just came out for Kohl's, I saw some pieces online and they look nice. Can't wait to see them in person

I consider Jennifer Lopez a role model to a lot of young girls, she has accomplished a lot in her career and being one of the first Latina's to over step boundaries in Hollywood. I admire her for her talent, her motivation and her style!

Hope you enjoyed! Sorry for the picture overload, I couldn't choose just one!

All pictures were used from People.com

Summer 2011 Favorites

Summer Favorites 2011

This summer flew by so quick, like most summers L and living in LA the weather can sometimes be really hot. So as far as makeup for me it’s about products that feel light and give that bronzy, glowy look that I love so much. I have picked out my favorite summer beauty products for this year that I used and abused. Hope you enjoy

Garnier Anti Dark Circle Eye roller, Bare Mineral Original Foundation(medium tan), Sephora Concealer palette, Monistat Chaffing Gel (as face primer)

Face:
The Garnier Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller was at first not my favorite product in the world. I was expecting a miracle product that would completely remove my dark circles and like most concealers and Dark Circle “removers” it didn’t exactly remove them L But I decided to give it another try and use it sort of like an eye brightener and I must say I loved it! When I don’t want to do my full face make-up, I just put the Garnier Anti-Dark circle eye-roller with a little powder and head out the door.

Bare Minerals Original foundation in the color Medium Tan I love this foundation, I have been using it for an entire year and I must say its wonderful. It gives me great coverage but doesn’t make me look cakey. It also gives me a natural, glowy look without making me look oily. And it did not break me out, like a lot of foundations do. I just love it.

Sephora Concealer Palette While on a window shopping trip to Sephora with my wonderful friend, I discovered this concealer palette in the sale rack for $10!!! Originally it was $20 and since I am always on the look out for a holy-grail concealer I decided to get it. And I must say that I LOVE it! I already hit pan on one concealer :'( but I still use it every day. I have never before used a green concealer and I really enjoyed this one because it does seem to cancel out my redness. This pink concealer I use for under-eye dark circles and it works great as well. The only 2 complains is one Sephora no longer makes this product anymore BOOOO! And two I hit pan really quick :(

Monistat Chaffing Powder Gel (Face Primer) Before you start thinking "why is she talking about her favorite chaffing gel??" I must clarify that I use this product as a face primer, and I also thought that this was weird and random, but a few years back I found out that many girls use this as a face primer. I discovered that it has the same texture as face primers. I started using it again for summer since it gets hot and I like my makeup to stay on my face. This product honestly does work well for me as a face primer and what I love most is that it's cheap! It makes my face feel so smooth and my makeup does seem to last longer when I use it.

MAC MSF in Cheeky Bronze, elf Contouring blush & bronzing Powder, MAC Msf  in Soft and Gentle, and Milani  baked blush in Luminoso

Cheeks:
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Cheeky Bronze. This is the perfect summer blush/bronze, on lazy days I would only put concealer and swipe a little of this color on my cheeks and it would give me a shimmery sun-kissed look.

elf Contouring blush & Bronzing Powder. I have used the Nars Laguna/Orgasm duo but I finally used it all up right before summer. I wanted to find a dupe for it that was more in my price range. After some research (Google) I found this blush/bronzer duo from elf. I couldn't believe that it cost $3!!!! I LOVE it! I don't think the blush is a dupe for Nars Orgasm but the bronzer is a good dupe for Nars Laguna Bronzer. I love this product so much I went back that week and got 2 more. As you can see in my picture I have used and abused the elf product.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle This product has been on my favorites since the day I bought it more than 3 years ago (same one) I use this mainly has a highlight in the inner corner of my eyes, below my eyebrows and on my cheekbones. On lazy summer days when I didn't want to use eye shadows I would use this all over my lid and it looks so natural and pretty.

Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso 05. As I mentioned before I ran out of my NARS Laguna/Orgasm duo and was in search for dupes. On one of my weekly (or daily) trips to my local Walgreen's, I found this blush. Before I bought it I did some Googling and found that some people thought it was a dupe to NARS orgasm. I'm not sure if its an exact dupe but this is such a wonderful blush! Honestly has become one of my all time everyday products! Its a peachy, pink and looks so gorgeous on. Perfect color for my skin tone.

Urban Decay Naked Palette, elf Eyelid Primer, Maybelline One by One Mascara in  Blakest Balck

Eyes:
Urban Decay Naked Palette. I got it! After multiple trips to Sephora's and Ulta's I got my hands on it and I must say that it is everything and more! LOL Its just a wonderful palette and since I got this I hardly ever use any my MAC or other eye shadows. It has become my go to palette. The colors that I use the most are (in no particular order) Virgin, Sin, Naked, Buck, Darkhorse and Toasted.

Maybelline One by One Volum' Express Mascara in Blackest Black. I got this mascara because my favorite YouTube guru Tiffany D recommended it and I wanted to try it. It gives me volume and makes my eye lashes remain curled and look longer.

elf Eyelid Primer. I used to love my Urban Decay Primer Potion but again I ran out and didn't want to pay twenty something dollars for an eye primer. On a random trip to Target I saw this and decided to try it because it was only $1!!! I think that it is a wonderful eye primer that works just as good or better than the Urban Decay Primer Potion. Plus its ONE FREAKING DOLLAR! You can't beat that. It does help my eye shadows stay on all day

Revlon Lipgloss in Coral Reef and MAC lipglass in Oyster Girl

Lips:
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Coral Reef. I did a previous post about these Revlon Lipglosses, they are great! This color was the perfect summer color. Its a little bright for me but on nights when I went out somewhere special with my boyfriend I liked wearing it with a neutral eye.

MAC Lipglass in Oyster Girl. This was the very first MAC product I ever bought. I love this light pink color. Its one of those everyday go to products that I use.

Orly nail polish in Rage and OPI in Teenage Dream

Nails:
Orly Nail polish in Rage. I found out about this color because of another blog polishandpearls.com Miss Jen Fabulous, another YouTube guru, did a blogpost about it. And I fell in love with the color. Its a rose gold color that I thought would go perfectly with my MK rose gold watch. Great color.

OPI Nail polish Teenage Dream. Everyone talked and raved about this color so much that I ran to my local beauty supply store to get it. It is from the Katy Perry collection she did for OPI. And I must say it is a teenage dream. Its such a pretty glittery pink color, that I love to use as my accent nail.

Those were my favorite summer makeup products for 2011. I also realized that this month is my year anniversary for this blog :) Thank you for reading and please leave comments and continue to support this little blog!

My Drugstore Wishlist

Hello! I have been wanting to make wishlist for a really long time, but I wanted to make it different than my usual 'I can't afford, but I really want' wishlist. I love makeup, and I am a sucker for highend makeup. I love shopping at Sephora and MAC but hate coming out with 2 things and no money in my wallet :(

I live walking distance to a Walgreens and Rite-Aide and I literally can spend hours just looking at the cosmetics aisles. And at work there is a CVS less than a block away so during my lunch break I walk to CVS and just gawk at all the Makeup :)

I have become a bit obsessed with trying to find dupes to all my high-end makeup. I have been successful with some products. But still am in dying need of a good drugstore concealer!!!!

I decided to do a drugstore wishlist. Most of the things on my wishlist are dupes to higher end makeup that I currently own but I am running low on.

1.) Hard Candy Heavey Duty Glamoflauge Concealer $6.00
I have heard so many things about this concealer! Some of my favorite YouTube beauty gurus and beauty bloggers have raved about this concealer and like I have said before beauty gurus are good sales people. And I NEED it. I normally wear MAC select cover-up concealer, and I have been squeazing every tiny bit out. I don't have a Wal-Mart very close to me so I need to wait until I go to one to get this.

2.) Hard Candy Sheer Envy Illuminating Primer $8.00

I recently ran out of my Bare Minerals Prime Time primer, which I loved. Prime Time lasted me a really long  time, and every day I put my makeup on I would expect it to be gone, and finally a few weeks ago it was :( I scraped every last bit. I am currently using Monistat Anti-Chaffing gel as my primer. I used to use it before and it works just as good, but I have also heard very good things about the Hard Candy Primer, so my next trip to Walmart it will be added to my cart.

3.) Hard Candy Sheer Envy Tinted Moisturizer $8.00
Yes, as you can tell I really wanna try Hard Candy makeup! I have been using the E.L.F tinted moisturizer and I really like it. The only thing I don't like about the E.L.F tinted moisturizer is that I just bought it last week and I feel like I will run out of it soon. And like the other Hard Candy products on my list, I have heard good things about this tinted moisturizer.

4.) Maybelline Volum' Express One by One Mascara
I already own this mascara, and I absolutely LOVE it! The best mascara ever!!!!! But the one I have is a little dry so I need a new one. I used to wear a lot of high end mascaras like Dior or Lancome but none can beat this one!

5.) Revlon Super Lusturous Lipglos-Peach Petal

I own 4 of the Revlon Super Lusturous Lipglosses and I love them!!!! I saw this color as I was browsing through a beauty blog. I googled it and knew I had to have it. A perfect nude!

For now this is all I can remember that is on my wishlist! If I think of more I will update the post. And if I purchase these products expect a haul and review post too!

Thanks for stopping by!

xoxo J
