Fashion Inspiration/Icon: Kim Kardashsian

I will be posting blogs about fashion and who my inspirations in fashion and in life are. Two things that I truly love are fashion and makeup. I don't consider myself the most fashionable person or the most savvy when it comes to makeup, but I love to learn and get ideas from different people.

One of my fashion inspirations is the wonderful Kim Kardashian. I love that she is not afraid to take risks and I love that she has curves but still manages to wear cute, comfy, and Chic clothes.
I always go on gossip websites or buy gossip magazines to see paparazzi pictures of her, and I watch all the Kardashian shows on E! to see what she is wearing.

Miss Kim dresses very casually on an everyday basis, she wears cute jeans, with simple but nice tops, and pairs it with amazing shoes or boots. She always has the most phenomenal purses and accessories.
I am a "jeans and t-shirt" type of gal, and I love that Kim is one too. She adds vests or scarves or jackets and the entire outfit will look outstanding.
I love this look with the tweed jacket, one of my favorites....
Even though Kim wears "jeans and t-shirts" she also looks fierce and gorgeous on the red carpet...like recently for her birthday bash in Las Vegas she looked exquisite

or this look for the Emmy's

Kim's makeup is also always so flawless. She is a big fan of the dark smokey eye with a nude lip. But what I always notice and love about her makeup is her cheeks(not her buttcheeks lol) her bronzer/blush looks so stunning.

Kim has long pretty lashes, which I know sometimes she has fake lashes, and it adds to the look of the dramatic eye. I also love the lip products that she uses, usually nude colors.

I admire miss Kim Kardashian for being such a fashion icon!
Thanks Kim for being my fashion inspiration :)

My Five Minute Face

I am a huge fan of "What Not to Wear". On the show there is a makeup artist named Carmindy who is the person that got me into makeup. She sorta invented the "Five minute face" and basically what it is, is a quick, simple, easy process to putting on makeup that accentuates your features. I do not exactly do everything that Carmindy does but this is my version. My five minute face is what I do in the mornings when I take out my dog for a walk, when I have to run quick errands, or when I am in a rush for time. This is not my full makeup routine just my quickie ;)

Here are my products and tools that I use....

makeup

tools

First thing I use is my concealer, I use the MAC Studiofinish concealer in the color NW30. I use either my finger to apply it or my Essence of Beauty concealer brush. I apply it underneath my eyes, (I have bad dark circles) areas where I have redness and any dark spots.

Next, I use the Posh Kabuki brush to apple my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in the color Medium Plus.I love, love this brush. I swirl it around my entire face and blend it to my neck.

After that, I use Nars Laguna bronzer with my Bare Minerals Flawless Face brush. I apply bronzer on my checks, forehead, a little on my chin and nose.

Then I use my MAC 168 shorthand brush to apply Nars Orgasm to the apples of my cheeks. (I adore this color blush.)

After blush, I highlight, (the most important part of the five minute face) I use my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Soft and Gentle. With my MAC 217 brush I swipe some under my eyebrow and on my inner circles of my eyes. Then with my Bare Minerals angled brush I make the letter C from my forehead to my check bones. I sometimes use this as an eyeshadow and put is as a base.

Next, I use my Ecotools angled eyebrow brush and my Maybelline ultra brow powder in the color dark brown, to fill in my eyebrows.

I also use a Revlon eyelash curler to curl my eyelashes since my eyelashes are not naturally cured.

And finally, I grab my Rosebud Strawberry Lip Balm and put someon my lips, sometimes I put lip gloss but usually I simply wear my Lip Balm.

Here are some pictures of the end result (please excuse my hair, not looking very cute lol)

So that's it. Very simple. Very Easy. Very Quick. I don't really use a lot of products or tools either.
I hope this helps... :)  xoxo

Review: Too Faced 'Natural Eye' pallete

I have been using the Too Faced Natural Eye palette for about a month now. This is my very first eye palette that I have ever purchased. I went into Sephora just to "look" (that's what I told my BF lol). I really went in to see if I could find the very popular Naked Eye Pallet by Urban Decay, but like every other Sephora store they were "SOLD OUT" :( As I was leaving a little box caught my eye....

The colors were so gorgeous and I swatched them and instantly fell in love with how the colors glided on my hand and how beautiful the colors were. My BF was outside anxiously waiting so I just decided to not get it
:(

A week later I was watching some Youtube videos and Blair Fowler or otherwise known as juicystar07 did a video and talked about buying the exact same palette! She raved about it and said how much she loved it, so I knew I NEEDED to get it.

I had a little $$$ saved up and I decided to just get it. It was a little bit of a splurge it cost $35. I thought about it and didn't think it was really that much, it has 8 eyeshadows so to me I felt like in the end it was worth it.

It comes with 3 different looks: Day, Classic, and Fashion

It also comes with 3 little cards that show you how to wear each look and a little brush ( I did not like the brush) The colors are just so gorgeous.

Day look:
The highlight: Heaven a white no shimmer color.
The base color: Velvet Revolver this color is a light brown, no shimmer, matte color.
And the crease color: Sexpresso a very pretty dark brown matte color.
I don't use this look a lot but the color I probably use the most is Sexpresso

Next is Classic( my favorite look)
The highlight: Silk teddy, this is the most beautiful color I can say its my favorite of this palette. Its sorta pink and reminds me of another favorite eyeshadow All that Glitters by MAC. It shiny but no shimmer and very velvety.
The base color: Push-Up is my second favorite color and its a bronze, brown, velvety, color. I sometimes use this as a crease.
Crease color: Erotica is a dark almost grayish dark brown color, this does have a little bit a shimmer and it wasn't my favorite color because its a little hard to blend in.
This look is so simple and pretty to wear as an every day look for work or school.

The last look Fashion:
Highlight: Nude Beach is a whiteish and pink highlight that I first thought was gonna be my favorite one but when I swatched it there was a lot of shimmer on it it was all over my hand, and when you put it on it goes everywhere and the color does not stay that well unless you put alot which causes you to have fallout of glitter :/ I have to say this is the only color I really don't use at all and dislike.
Base: Honey Pot this color is a gold, bronzey color, it so pretty and also glides on no shimmer but shiny and a great base color.
Crease: Cocoa Puff this is a true dark rich brown with tiny bits of shimmer. I love this crease color, this shimmer is very minimal
This is my second favorite look, I use it more at nights when I go out because its a darker natural look. The only color I dont use is Nude Beach but I use Silk teddy instead.

I own a several eye shadows but since I purchased this palette I use this more than any other eye shadow combos that I usually, I mix up the colors, the looks, I make up my own looks, I use highlights as base colors, base colors as crease colors, and crease colors as bases. It  is just a very useful palette and extremely versatile. I have said before that I love Natural looks and if you are the same or just need an everyday neutral, natural eye palette go out and buy this one. Its worth it!
